Glass America would not be successful if not for the technicians who put in the hard work every day. With customer service as our number one priority – the members of Glass America are the backbone of our business. We intend to highlight specific employees who have gone far and beyond for the company and our customers. This month, we put the spotlight on Melvin Sanders. Melvin was brought in as the store manager for Middle Tennessee. With no prior auto glass experience, Melvin quickly took ownership of his new role.
Sanders joined the Glass America family in Murfreesboro, TN within the last two years. Weekly, our team was seeing 75-100 jobs, and they were completed by three technicians. Within months, we were seeing 350-400 appointments per week with eight technicians. Those men, as they joined the team, turned to Sanders for guidance. He eagerly stepped into his role of trainer and mentor, which he has excelled at, and continues to work hard to elevate and encourage the entire staff in the Glass America location in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
While many would have become frustrated and fatigued by the increased responsibility, Melvin enthusiastically carried out every role with a huge smile on his face. Because of his eagerness to help and grow, Murfreesboro, Tennessee has become an incredible location – one that is reliable and efficient and provides a great experience for our customers. In fact, he often drove to Alabama to retrieve parts not available in Tennessee but needed for his team’s specific appointments.
We appreciate Melvin Sanders and his commitment to going above and beyond! With him, we have been able to serve so many Americans – ensuring their cars are safe for their families. Whether it was a snowstorm or a pandemic, nothing stopped Melvin from helping customers and new hires alike.
